Emergency on call for active patients

NEVOG is pleased to announce that we are now offering an on-call after hours emergency service. At this time, this service is being offered on a trial basis. The goal of this service is to help make recommendations in emergency situations. A NEVOG clinician will be available by phone to offer advice and if needed, direct you to the appropriate emergency facility. We will also be able to consult with an emergency clinician if it is recommended that your pet be seen.


In order to access this service, you should call the main number (781-684-8688). The main menu will direct you to push 3 which then forwards you to the emergency mailbox. You should leave a detailed message in the mailbox and be sure to include your name, your pet's name, the problem and a number where you can be reached. The on-call clinician is then alerted and will return the call. If you feel that this is life-threatening emergency you should proceed to the nearest emergency clinic without waiting for a call. If for some reason you do not receive a call back within 30 minutes then you should contact an emergency service.
This service is to be used only for patients that are active. This would be considered patients that are under current treatment at NEVOG or receiving routine follow-up care. This emergency service is not to be used for scheduling appointments, refilling prescriptions or obtaining lab results. It should also not be used for emergencies that are not likely to be related to the cancer or treatment of the cancer.
