Emergency on call for active patients

NEVOG is pleased to announce that we are now offering an on-call after hours emergency service. The goal of this service is to help make recommendations in emergency situations. A NEVOG clinician will be available by phone to offer advice and if needed, direct you to the appropriate emergency facility. We will also be able to consult with an emergency clinician if it is recommended that your pet be seen.


In order to access this service, you should call the main number (781-684-8688). The main menu will direct you through the prompts so you can to leave a message that will be forwarded to the on call doctor. You should leave a detailed message in the mailbox and be sure to include your name, your pet's name, the problem and a call back number. The on-call clinician is then alerted and will return the call. If you feel that this is life-threatening emergency you should proceed to the nearest emergency clinic without waiting for a call. Please keep in mind that some messages especially those from cell phones may not be clear so if for some reason you do not receive a call back within 30 minutes please call again or contact an emergency service.
This service is to be used only for current oncology patients of NEVOG. This includes patients that are under current treatment at NEVOG or receiving routine follow-up care. This emergency service is not to be used for scheduling appointments, refilling prescriptions or obtaining lab results. It should also not be used for emergencies that are not likely to be related to the cancer or treatment of the cancer.
