Partially funded clinical trial for dogs with solid tumors | 08/08/2011
Trial Summary A total of 15 dogs with spontaneous tumors are expected to be enrolled into this clinical trial. Dogs will receive a single dose of the Test Article over 1 hr, for two consecutive days. Dogs will need to remain in the hospital for the first 48 hours of the study for blood samples and toxicity evaluation. Dogs will be evaluated on Day 8 of the study at which time the study will end.

Funded Clinical Trial for Dogs with melanoma, osteosarcoma, soft tissue sarcoma or squamous cell carcinoma. | 08/08/2011
Trial Summary A minimum of 100 dogs with solid tumors will be treated with modified anaerobic bacteria. Treated dogs will be monitored closely after treatment with follow-up required at 2,4,7, and 14 days. While the patient remains on study, there will also be rechecks at 1 and 2 months from the initial treatment.

Clinical Trial for Dogs with Osteosarcoma | 03/29/2011
NEVOG is currently participating in a clinical trial for canine osteosarcoma. Dogs enrolled in this study will receive carboplatin chemotherapy and then will be randomized to receive either Palladia/piroxicam/cyclophosphamide or piroxicam/cyclophosphamide alone. Patients must return every 3 weeks during the chemotherapy phase of the trial. Once the second phase of the trial is started, patients must return at Days 14 and 28 then every 28 days thereafter. This study is partially funded. Patients enrolled on the study will receive free carboplatin, free Palladia if randomized to receive this drug and a financial incentive for the rechecks.

NEVOG is pleased to offer an on-call after hours emergency service. The goal of this service is to help make recommendations in emergency situations. A NEVOG clinician will be available by phone to offer advice and if needed, direct you to the appropriate emergency facility. We will also be able to consult with an emergency clinician if it is recommended that your pet be seen.
